The 30-Bed Men’s Crisis Center is affiliated with Mercy Medical Center and serves the Operation New Hope program for the Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (O.A.S.A.S). The Center is located within a former warehouse and designed as an “Interior Village” with a 24-hour medical staff offering individual and group therapy services, as well as temporary lodging to individuals with chemical dependency. The design required specialized program requirements with regards to security controls and patient surveillance by medical personnel while preserving a warm and inviting spatial quality.
