Christ Church Riverdale
Christ Church Riverdale was designed by Richard M. Upjohn in 1886. It is a small picturesque church of brick and local stone with a simple pierced-wall belfry. We were hired in 1991 to restore the polychrome slate roof. After the completion, we were engaged to restore the stonework. These exterior restorations won a 1992 award from the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.
Most recently the Hall Partnership, together with special consultants, completed an extensive restoration of the original decorative interior paint scheme, as well as the renovation of the Parish Hall interior to better accommodate the multiple functions it must serve.
